I had the very same thing on my gen 2 mate...If I remember rightly the problem was to do with that flat black rubber seal and a ring of springs (or something like that) that should push it down to form a seal...I ended up with a new Harris keyless cap.

My Gen2 was the same. I found a link to someone who made a little washer to fit between the two rubber seals. Worked well

I used a big o-ring under the rubber seal, not had the issue since

I have made some gaskets for people in the past on the Site -
High temp High Pressure - petrochemical quality NCAF - much much better than using any old plastic tubs as you know that it will never be effected by the fuel. PM me and I will get one in the post to you when I am next back in the UK - ![]() |
