I've just bought an NoCo NLP9 400A CCA Lithium battery, with a Genius1 charger and I have to say the quality is excellent. Even the packaging seemed too nice to throw away (recyclable of course !!!).
Haven't fitted it to the bike yet, its still charging.

Don't wanna ruin your day, but isn't NLP9 too small for the RSVR? It is equivalent to YTX9-BS, while you need YTX12 or NLP14 from NoCo. Do not misunderstrand the 400A as CCA, becuase they are CA, no CCA, so little different. "Cold Cranking Amps (CCA) or Cranking Amps (CA) are ratings used when referring to the current (power) that a car battery can output. The difference between Cold Cranking Amps and Cranking Amps is that CCA is measured at around -18 degrees Celsius while CA is measured at only 0 degrees Celsius." I was thinking of getting NoCo in the past and was, like you, misled by the "starting amps" rating the show rather then shoing the CCA rating as the rest of the companies.
Also they seem to be little havier than the quivalent Lithium batteries - the BCTX14H-FP battery that i got is about 0.95kg, while the NLP14 is 1.17kg. But anyway, going lithium is the right way for both weight saving and long live battery. |

If my research was correct, a 400 CA battery is equivalent to a 320 CCA unit. Also my days of riding in anything less than 15 degrees Celsius are long gone
