Does anyone know whether the Sachs forks on a 2004 Gen 2 RSVR are the same as the Sachs fork on a 2005 Gen1 Tuono. Thank you.

I think those Sachs are actually Showa's,the rear Damper is Sachs.

I believe they are the same all the way through the twins range, even as far as the radial versions,.

At least the early gen1 rsv seem to be the same as a stock 2009 TuonoR set up if you disregard the different caliper mounting orientation, the internal damping is the same save having one less 0.017" shim in the compression stack probably due to the T having less weight over the front wheel.

It might be possible to cross reference part No's on the online fische

Edit:  Yup,the numbers seem to match Thumbs Up

Thanks for the replies folks. I should of course have said Showa forks not Sachs.
I have an 05 Tuono and the forks are not in very good nick (it had been stored for several years before I got it) but  are useable. However I've seen Showas from an 04 RSVR at a reasonable price hence the question.
