My Gen 1 makes the odd clonk noise on startup, experience has taught me that sprag clutch replacement costs more than a new aircraft carrier so whats the best solenoid and where to buy it? Also whats the best battery for a gen1 '04 tuono?And again, who is the best supplier?

Loads of threads on here about this topic but call Griff at AP for the solenoid as he supplies an uprated one. Lots of discussion about batteries as well but after loads of research I bought one of these. Early days but it's been great so far, starting on the button:

Check out the NUMAX batteries too as they use identical AGM tech as the Motobat ones but are a fraction of the cost.

I just replaced a Yuasa battery on my KTM and the OEM one was £53, the NUMAX AGM one which was a higher amp-hr rating was £33 delivered.


They also sell the excellent Varta AGM batteries

Hi I changed my Gen 1 solenoid for a Yamaha R1 cant remember part number but its a straight swap
