Hi Folks,
Bought it six weeks ago! Yes, it smokes like a Cuban on some coldstarts, a forkseal leaks too little to get it fixed, sidepanels fit only just. The guy I bought it from swears at using Motorex 15 w 50 boxer engine oil. I'll change the oil in a fortnight, then.
But I love it to bits! No more fours 4 me.

Rossie,

This may work regarding your fork seal
Remove the front mudguard

Ease down the dust seals with butter knife working your way round gently

Get a bit of camera negitive film or film from inside a disposable camera
Cut a piece about 5" & round the corners off " think bullet shape"

The trick is to wrap it around the fork leg and insert it up into the fork seal
working your way round the whole seal
do this twice & pump the forks 10 times

Repeat for the other seal
Try to get some red rubber grease and grease the seal before
replacing the dust seals

You should find they no longer weepBig smileBig smileBig smile
Both mine leaked ever so slightly
But have been fine since this trick

Give it a shot it's freeWink

Yep, good tip there Thumbs Up Used to have to do it on my enduro bike now and then, just used a bit of tear off. I think it just re-seats the seal lips as sometimes they get pushed over or a little bit of gunk trapped beneath them Smile

Frank-O is bang on the money.

I did not want to add the technical reason to a page of text.
a very common thing with ohlins seals
it seems to work in 95% of leaks

good luck with itThumbs Up

Lads what you like !!!! racers get through folk seals after a few racers , normally its flies that sick to the fork and are not cleaned off after time that break down the seals, or jet washing is another problem that causes problems with fork seals. did mine in may.

Hi Rookie,
I'll indeed give it a shot. Though the weeping seems to have gone as it came, unpredictably, like the sh*ts, hhmmm.
Anyone of y'all ever heard about using 15 W 50 air cooled boxer engine oil? I can't imagine it does any good to our pristine Italian steeds. It was meant for air cooled Beemers, you know, those cut in half prehistoric car things. Better get round to changing the oil, don't I?
