Alrighty Thunderklopf
I'm no expert but picked up a suspension article in BIKE from July 2000, with Nick Jeffries recommending the following for the front:
Compression damping (screw on forks) 1 turn from fully soft
Rebound as per manual - 1 and a quarter turns from fully hard
Preload as per manual - 5 nut notches anti-clockwise from end of stroke
I use these settings on mine, it feels good, but then again I'm 11 stone and 5ft 7 and have only ever used these settings from buying the bike!! [^]
Good luck!
