It has an Ohlins steering Damper Ohlins suspension and Bembo calipers. Just heavier wheels and not carbon, well this does have carbom front light cheeks. But there seems to be a decent supply of stuff on Ebay anyhow.

Yeah, Sunday is meant to be fine here in Wales but I'm not holding my breath lol
I think I'll probably get a carbon rear guard and some Black Stomp grips to break up the mass of red on the tank I think it will look nicer then and it'll feel more like my bike if that makes sense. lol
I got a private plate with the bike too, ends is 'RSV' lol Could be a bad thing with local plod!

Looking for a 07 or onwards registered RSV Factory with as low mileage as possible. Sensible cash waiting for the right bike. |

Be aware guys the Black Nose Bol D'or at 'Regal superbikes' has accident damage!!! The dealer had it back and has re-listed on ebay with no mention of this! Plus they now want £6,500!!! Dreaming robbing buggers!
the dealer text me after taking the bike back to apologize, They had taken it apart and found far worse damage behind the clocks etc.. despite them trying to make me feel I was a winging old granny and that my claims were unfounded! Spent days talking to him and putting up with him trying to get out of sorting the issues! If you want a damaged repaired RSV Bol D'or with a super thin black paint job on the nose then this is your bike, the tank has been painted very well almost factory quality but the fairing was shown the paint! and they just flashed over the original Lilac underneath lol http://s1319.photobucket.com/user/gremlyng1/library/Aprilia%20damage |

Lol just seen that on eBay - and not a mention of the accident damage repair work - oh but they will take anything in on part exchange and arrange finance for you - cheeky so and so's!

Its been pointed out to me by the dealer and other people that it's not unreasonable to have a bike thats seen paint and repairs when it's 6 year old, which is fair comment but to me if I'm investing £6300 into a bike I want to know that it is exactly as it was described! I'm sure there are far more anal buyers out there than me. But as you have seen they have it listed for £6500 now and no mention of the accident damage etc...
To me that's wrong on so many levels, I'm sure they will get they're payback soon. I was feeling bad when the guy at Consumer Advice told me that he was going to speak to Trading Standards, but given the dealers front in re-listing it and not disclosing the damage I hope they get walloped big time by Trading Standards. |

Mate I'd have been mega cheesed off if I'd have got there and found that it had been damage repaired and being sold for that price! Yeah it's true that it's common to find bikes of that age which have had work on them for whatever reason. I gotta say the bike does look great in the images - you wouldn't see any of that repair work off the photos so fair play for not rushing in and buying it!

The sad thing is someone is possibly going to pay over the odds on that bike and may join here and then be told the sad truth behind this thread, hope trading standards get wind before it comes to any of us having to tell a 'new to the site' owner he had bought a lemon!!

I had bought it and discovered the damage afterwards and had hell getting the deal reversed! I sincerely hope any potential buyer joins here first and does some homework.
It is a nice bike but the price should reflect the damage, and at very least should be disclosed to any potential buyer within the classified. Unfortunately dealers in general couldn't give a sh*t, as long as the HPI is clear they think it's a license to crack on regardless. They ought to be shot for re-listing the bike in the knowledge of the damage even if it has been repaired. |

At least you managed to get you £ back mate, hope you find a good one, and hopefully whoever looks at it comes on here to ask advice first like you did, would be interesting to ask via eBay if it's had damage? False advertising and all that !!

Yeah I got the money back but it lost me a weekend of riding and I had bought quite a bit of stuff to stick on the bike which I'm now having to sell on Ebay and take a bit of a hit on. Plus 1 completely sleepless night and several heated discussions with the dealer! None of it will ever be repeated again that's for sure! lol
I had been looking for a late RSV Factory for ages for months before the Bol D'or came along and looked again since the deal went South there had been very little worth considering, so eventually I bought a Ducati 1098s. I bought it privately and had a completely different experience in that the guy I got it from wast genuine and fair. |

Cheers, yeah I'm happy with the Duke it's a cracker fair play, actually takes the sting out of the original train smash with Regal Superbikes and the Bol D'or.
I fancied the RC8 myself but thought I might get a bit fed up with it too quickly because it's so extreme looking, I've sat on a couple now and they are surprisingly comfortable bikes, the new one I sat on at the NEC didn't impress me on the build though. For some reason I also can't take to the look of the speedo panel etc... it kinda looks like it belongs inside a JCB. Saying that though they are wicked bikes. Horror story turned into a happy ending :-) |

I wouldn't say I dislike the RC8, in fact I came close to looking for one myself as overall they are wicked bikes. I guess it's the same with every make / model of bike there's always area's or bits that we like more than others.
Same here dash is secondary really but it's nice to look at when the bike is parked up I suppose lol |
