Battery/charging issues

   Right I was aware this would be an issue but this morning went to start the bike and the needle went round the clocks zero'd and it's now in kph.

The seller reckons he changed the battery on February and had it always plugged into the charger. I noticed the indicators were flashing fast when riding but once the bike was on idle the relay would whine and seize up so to speak making the right signals virtually stay on.

What should the charging rate be
I've heard I can use a later reg/Rec If so which one?
Which battery yuasa?
How hard is it to change the relay with a universal led one?
