Had a cracking day at brands Monday first time there awesome circuit. Bennets day really friendly atmosphere and had a good chat with my paddock neighbour and got a bit of advice on the circuit to get quicker and it worked Big smile. His truck was a bit plusher than mineLOL

I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left

Just a bit! You can just see my tiny bongo in the distance haha. Really nice bloke though chatted for ages and his signature probably doubles the bike's value LOL

That motorhome is legendary isn't it. It might be bigger than his house but can he take it through maccas drive thru like you can with the bongo?

What was his advice on the circuit?

Tempted to move to bennets in the future just to get those cheap days. Looked quiet on track too.

I reckon that you could fit a maccys on the side of it although you won't see Bonnie heading through one not a fanDead.

To be honest Owen it's well worth it, I insured my XJR with them for 90quid fully comp and paid 99 quid for the trackday so essentially got free insurance for the year! They do five wish I'd known before so I'll be booking all of them next year. More like a roadbike day and I'd book the fast group next time as the pace in the inters was slower than usual as the majority of riders were on roadbikes.

Advice on Graham hill bend which I was struggling to get right was to turn alot later and hold my gear from druids for a much quicker exit onto the mini straight ad also to let the bike run wider at clearways which felt pretty scary at first but I got used to it and it gave me way more on the run upto paddock hill bend which was amazing!

Yeah really good value. Especially brands and Oulton for around £100.

Were you going wide on the exit out of Graham Hill bend? Looks like it wants to suck you in too early on the approach to me. How did you find paddock Hill? Looks mental on video and I know that never does elevation justice. Looks another too where you'd have to force yourself not to apex too soon.

No just not going in quick enough and couldn't get good drive out on the 600 hence holding a lower gear and growing bigger ballsLOL

The first time I went down paddock hill was scary but by session 3 I was scraping the slider and full chat on the exit fantastic corner you have to go bud. I've got that coaching session I spoke to you about coming up in 5 weeks and I'm planning on going back shortly after if October is looking dry. Come along?

Ah right ha. Like the problem I have with Mansfield.

Yeah sounds really good. Would love to go in October but can't for a couple years Cry Shortly after getting back to it though I'm planning to get into racing. Been speaking to James about it, could be the three of us in the Bemsee paddock.

Hmm,never thought of them for trackdays, the rest of the rewards scheme looks interesting as well

I've been with them for the last couple of years and never taken any notice of the rewards till now, but as I've decided to renew with them again this year I'll look into those for next year.

Road bikes and more relaxed riding would probably be better for me anyway, just a gentle bimble round with no slick shod hot shots coming by at warp speed

Premium has gone up about £20 this renewal I think,up to £130 something for the all bells and whistles fully comp and protected cover if memory serves, which although probably not the cheapest I could find for the '09 Tuono it wasn't high enough to make me scrabble around to change companies with everything else going on at the mo'

Don't fancy the trek to Brands though, although I do have family down in the general area to break the trip

I wanted to go to Snetterton when you were there, but no spectators were allowed Ouch

They say to never meet your heroes, but it doesn't apply to most road racers.... Cool

Already got the Bemsee bike so why not I'm also considering it or endurance which is why I'm doing the coaching mate. Also been speaking to James and I'm not as far off the pace as I thought I was so definitely on the cards if the new job goes well. RSVR.NET teamBig smile

There's lots of worthwhile rewards mate and the trackdays are worth it alone. My dad's never done a day but was itching to have a go in the novice group after watching. Less bikes out and very friendly.

Snetterton was ace too Rick starting to really gel with the little 6 now and planning on moving up to play with the big boys after a 1to1 coaching day there soon. It's expensive but I'm at a point where I can't really progress safely without some help rather than spending money on bits that I think will make me faster Wink

If you fancy being a " helper" you can come along to the next one after the coaching if I can get out with the weather sometimes October is a decent month.

Yes let me know Adam Thumbs Up

I wish I could have a go myself, but my body's just too broken.

I'd get a big buzz out of being a helper though, be great to see you again and have a laugh Wink
