OK, as per the title, where is the cheapest RSV4 in the UK?

I am hankering after one but have limited funds as I really want to keep my 2001 RSVR as well.

Aiming to buy one around mid 2010 so no rush, I want all those early day gremlins sorted before I swing my leg over one.  Smile

I believe they are asking around 13.5k for it , I rode it they reckon that was enough.
It has some fairing damage and a wonky mirror, tyres are shagged and the like.

I've seen a few ex demo models at around late 12's to £13k.
Pretty much i think you will get a used Factory for new R money.

Just a shame the Factory is only in black cos the white is ace.

The Ebay one has been for sale for ages, bet they would be up for an offer cos they can't seem to shift it.

dont need to ride one mate the looks are enough to put me off . as we all know we like to get off our bikes and glance back ,if it doesnt provoke a "yeah thats a great lookin bit of kit" in your head it aint the right tool..

i realise looks are in the eye of etc etc .. as for physical size of it i just think aprilia have submited to much to the track side of things and gone small just like all the other jap drones out there .. 99 percent of us all are on roads most of the time so its a bit pointless ....yeah the rsv could be described as a track tool as well but its good for anybody who's over 5'11'' and has some weight to it which helps iron out the sh*te roads in uk...

at the end of the day if it makes you smile in the way you want it to why not . just not for me...

dave

ps would look good in them recent new colours and flag you have on the rsv lol.....

I must say I'm not that keen on the look but then I've only ever seen it in pics and maybe it's better in the metal  (so to speak LOL ).
James Whitham reckons its the best bike he's seen since like forever!! he raves about its performance as well.

One thing I will say though - for £15k where else can you buy a MotoGP homologation (lets not forget that this was supposed to be for the MGP champs but they weren't able to get it entered in time so went WSBK, and of course once you've entered a bike in WSBK you can't then enter in into MGP).

My problem is i like to tour a bit.
My Duke and the rsv before are just about acceptable.

The tank range, complete lack of any storage and it's size means it really is a scream about for a few hours tool.
It's price is very good given the spec but i think that will rise personally and i think all makes of the bikes are now overpriced and sales will be poor for all brands.

£12.5k for an R1 when they were 9K not long ago is just mad when you could get an Rsv Factory for £9k recently.

yeah I agree with you on prices - but I reckon the Yen hit an all time low far worse than most currencies which I think has been a huge factor in price hikes. Crazy considering it's got to have had an effect on bikes sales in general - would have thought prices would be more competitive in this climate but seems like the bike manufacturers have kind of done some sort of deal to keep prices failry high.

And then we have Arsehole Brown thats destroying the country at record rate which includes keeping the £ low (his statement is "to help with UK exports to help repair the economy) BUT CONSIDERING THE FOOL HAS ALL BUT EXPORTED ALL OUR MANUFACTURING ABROAD ANYWAYS!!!!!! there fu*all to export Ouch ) I believe strongly that his intentions are create parity with the euro so as to force a transition to that currency - it will be a sad day for the UK when that happens.

hhhhhhmmmmmm a little bike talk and politics before dinner, sorry might give you a bit of indigestion LOL

Here here!

I agree totally with what you have said here, Brown certainly is a cunning barsteward that will not stop until the UK is entwined/engulfed within the European economy.

I have Tim and I could actually reach the floor.  LOL

It's lower than my current RSV, mind you it may be cheaper to have a new seat made up to give me a few more inches clearance.

The one I rode was definately not as tall as my RSV, in fact it felt tiny . Lets face it Aprilia built it around Biaggi (who is an Italian sized clone of Alan anyway).

Lets see the Alan/Biaggi comparison

Built like Ronnie Corbett, Check
Attitude, Check
Easy Job, Check
Small manhood, Check (allegadly)

Does Alan have the Biaggi face bum fluff too ?

If so he could be Biaggi's twin (the slower one who likes Blue)

That's an uncanny comparison list you have compiled, if only I could ride like Biaggi and had Corbetts money.  LOL

As it happens I do have some face fluff at the moment.  (No I am not providing piccies)
