What what what??? You take the Carbons name in vain ha ha ha LOL

Very nice, that's on the Ape isn't it Warren? Didn't realise Nissin had 100mm spacings, but then again I forget now which forks you have, so maybe 108's?
I'll go back and check the PB article of your Ape that I've had permanently bookmarked on the last 3 pc's I've had.

Were your Brake Tec disks 320 or 330?

Jolly good work as always, top stuff Big smile

Hi Rick, the discs are 320mm and the forks are 108mm, don’t worry I still have a carbon fetish.

Cheers Mark, I remember in hindsight, but kept thinking Gixxer for some reason. I think that was the CF Akropovic iirc.

Hope you're well, sorry haven't chatted in ages Big smile

@ Warren, phew, had me worried for a sec mate, but glad the fetish is alive and well. I'm still stunned at your collection, the quality of mods on each and every bike and the place you've got to house it all.

I know it's ever evolving, such is life, but even at this point, it's mission accomplished. He who lives with the most toys wins! Big smile

I wasn’t intending to buy anything this year and just concentrate on finishing what I’ve got , that went straight out the window, I really need to concentrate and put money back in my savings for the rest of the year, there will still be things I’ll do on the bikes but not big spends, well not until I get the bill for the blade forks. I love working on them just as much as riding them and that’s where the trouble starts as you see little things you’d like to tidy up and that always leads onto bigger things.

I hear you Was, and I totally agree. It's always good to be an opportunist though, as you have. Got to commend you on the decisions you have made thus far.

Mark once said to me "There's no point in being the richest man in the graveyard"

I've lived by that since. Thought on it for a long time. I've got no kids etc. I got hung up for a while about always having a certain amount in the bank.
Question everything.

I've got Nissin calipers on the Daytona and the calipers on the tracker are also Nissin from a Gen1 Daytona. The brakes on both are amazing!

I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left

I hope these are as good after the hassle of bleeding them today, what an utter ball ache they’ve been, they had an air lock that would not clear, traditional bleeding, vacuum bleeding and reverse bleeding numerous times, I’ve got some reasonable pressure now and have cable tied them back until tomorrow. I’d booked it in for its mot at half ten tomorrow.

We’ll these 4 pot nissins will not bleed and get pressure, every way I’ve tried to bleed them and was ready for throwing my spanner’s, the seller has said he will have them back and go through them and if I send my mc he’ll bleed them up, I’ve had to put my 6 pots on instead 😁

That's a shame, they certainly look the part. Bit odd though, not like the nipples on the calipers are in the wrong place is it. Got to be a seal or something if you've tried everything?

Question everything.

Normal bleeding, vacuum bleeding and reverse bleeding, only got some pressure reverse bleeding and then tied the lever back over night, held the lever next day and cracked the nipple and then couldn’t get pressure again, there’s no leaks anywhere, put the nissin 6 pots on a bled great and have great lever pressure, put the brembo’s on the blade and the same great pressure.

The last photo is the 6 pots I’ve put on, fantastic lever pressure.
