As the title suggest what are you all using if you've had to replace yours , genuine or aftermarket .
Griff had some ,and then said they weren't up to scratch, and i don't want a second hand one.
I see you can buy genuine from £160.
Thank you in advance.
Ted
I used to be uncertain , but now i'm not sure anymore

I had mine rewound by West Country Windings.
10/10

They use thicker wire, with fewer turns.
So it should be far more robust.
You can also specify longer tails so that you can run the wiring back over to the reg/rec via an easier route.
ISTR about £110 ish?

There was quite a following for this subject over on AF1 a while back, different people seem to have different opinions on what's best though.

Nothing new there then LOL

For every expert extolling one course of action you'll always find another holding the opposite opinion.

For what it's worth I thought the series one from an R1 was the 'current' Wink favourite.
