[?]I'VE JUST STARTED USING MY FALCO AFTER THE 'OH SO LONG' WINTER, AND I'VE NOTICED THAT ITS USING OR LOOSING CLUTCH FLUID FROM THE RESEVOIR AT AN ALARMING RATE, THE CLUTCH STILL WORKS OK, I HAVE TO TOP IT UP ONCE EVERY 200 MILES OR SO, NO SLIP OR GRABBING OF THE CLUTCH, HOWEVER NEUTRAL IS BECOMING INCREASINGLY DIFFICULT TO FIND, ANY IDEAS ?[?] TKP

The clutch slave cylinder is an inherrent weak point on all aprilias - it is made by Brembo and not to a particularly high standard - it consists of a cast cylinder with a piston, spring and single seal. I would recommend that you consider the Evo Clutch Slave cylinder which is a much higher quality billet cylinder with a piston that uses three seperate seals and no spring - apart from lasting a lot longer the clutch will feel smoother and (according to Evoluzione) up to 19% lighter in operation - we've sold loads of them and people seem to be very happy with them - it's one of the first things I fit to my own bikes

cheers tim, managed to locate a replacement seal, .....considering i live in county durham the only dealear to carry stock of the seal woz in bury-st -edmunds, every one else sucked thru their teeth, and quoted me minimum of 14 days, seal has to come from italy, wot a load of b*ll**ks, its a bog standard brembo unit, probably used on most big 'prila's and i know Its the same as the ducati st4's.spares availability is the only fly in the ointment though, once its up and running , YOU KNOW I'LL FORGET ALL THE HASSLE, and LOVE IT AGAIN..... THANX TKP

I had the same thing with my Falco. The rubber seal in the slave cylinder is on it's way out. You can get a seal kit or buy a new slave cylinder . As per norm Aprilia prices are way over the top. I payed about £70 for mine . As the slave cylinder was damaged. Hope this helps. Tim
