I'm no expert but I'd be a bit wary about bending an alloy swingarm back thats so far out of line. Can you tell where the bend is ? Can you go back to the seller, if he didn't tell you about it surely he misrepresented on the descrption, or was it sold as seen ? Might be worth keeping an eye on ebay - nothing on there at the moment (just had a look). Also in breakers ads etc. What we do in life echoes in eternity.....

For the money/hassle/potential safety factor I would not start trying to repair what you have - I have seen a swing arm with a 7 inch fatigue crack along it because someone had done precisely what you are proposing a few months before - the job may look fine when you have finished it but you may have created a long term flaw - the swing arm is a highly stressed part of the bike - the alloy used is quite brittle and does'nt repair well - obviously a crack or a break at speed could be disastrous ... it's not all bad news ... there are plenty of used swing arms up for sale at UK breakers and on Ebay (since I have mentioned it there are probably none at this precise moment) - many people replace them simply for cosmetic reasons - a ding, dent or scuff on the right side is quite normal and you can pick these up for around £100 - shipping I should imagine would be around £65 to Australia and at the end of the day you will have a much safer solution. Your should be able to find a mint one for around £350.
