My next bike mate very nice, just booking a test ride on one got a few mates that have them as with any v-twin worth getting the pots balanced on the evo its only the stalling issue i've heard of mainly because of the co2.
The three mates ive got with them aint had any issues apart from the hard seat its a pitty they aint got ohlins front forks, i reckon with a good set of cans and a PC5 custom mapped would make a superb set up, i still like my Gen2 factory but the gen1's and gen2's are a little dated now |

I have a 2009 model
0 issues so far since new apart from dealer breaking the preload adjuster on the shock but that was them being sh*te. You need the Ducati performance seat, the stocker is like an ice rink and they come setup way way way to hard on the rear so bank on sorting the suspenders if it's not already done. It's also over geared as per most bikes these days and needs a few more teeth on the rear or 1 down on the front. I run Termi's with the DP Racing ecu and it fuels perfect. No real need for a Pcv but if you want a custom map speak to Chris at CJS near Bristol. He can custom map the stock ecu which is better as it has something like 14 editable points for each cylinder which is about double that of a pcv and is undetectable by a dealer for warranty issues. It rides very different to the Rsv though so takes a while to adjust. It feels very light and minimalist but is long so it thrives on high corner speed rather than outright agility. Calibrating your brain to running on into the corners faster than you did before and using it's stability layed over takes some getting used to. Once you have it sussed you will find you run into a corner much faster than other bikes and have to leave a decent gap or they hold you up mid corner. When it gets really tight it can work against you as it is not as sharp as the Rsv and you have to use a lot more body input to hussle it round. Can't have it both ways. No regrets from me though |
