Got myself another gen2 factory for the coming summer. If its as good as I hope ( sub zero dark test ride only so far) it will be a keeper. I prefer the early gen2 shape and colours and this is one of the last off the line.

This is as is straight out of the van, bought from a fellow member thanks Steve pleasure meeting you.
Plan Service Fit new chain and sprockets ( 15/42 ) Fit new battery ( lithium) Fit new starter cables Dog bone linkage Find a good used or new accosato master to match the clutch or use a spare OEM clutch master and source some OEM levers. Sort out the damage on the swingarm. New tank protector OEM if I can get one. Clean and detail. I have a spare panel to replace the one on the left which has a poor repair and apply the new OEM aprilia lower decals. I am considering changing the colour scheme to my favourite gen2 but unsure if that's viable at the moment. I need gold wheels for that so I'm looking to swap for a blue set if I can then I will most likely do the new ( old ) scheme . |

Yep, I've had several gen1s and love them too especially the early R's but for me the looks and ride of the factory is spot on. Had a few of the ' old silver " and really liked them but the above colours are the ultimate combination. Subtle and stylish.

Cheers Rick you will be seeing it in the flesh once it warms up. I like the current scheme a lot but the all black and gold wheels was by far my favourite we'll have to see if I can change it without too much hunting for parts. Most importantly it's getting a good checkover and enjoy it.
