Topic: Front brake lightPosted: 18 Jan 2025 at 18:20 |

Hi from Devon.
I’ve got an early (2003) gen 1 tuono. My brake light doesn’t work when I use the front brake. When I use the rear it works fine. I imagine that the front and rear brake switch wires must meet somewhere and perhaps this is where the fault is. Anyone had this issue and got advice on location of junctions etc?
Thanks S |

Probably the actual front brake switch quite fragile , check it’s ok on near the lever
follow the wires to check the plug at the front and check
Continuity

As Mark says, most probably the front brake switch. They are easy to remove or trace the wire to the plug where it joins the harness to check the continuity. It could be the switch internals or often, the small plastic push in pins on the back of the switch break and do not keep the switch positioned properly preventing proper operation.

Thanks for this advice. I’ll get on and investigate. I see AP performance sell replacement switches. I imagine I’ll be able to tell which one mine is when I have a good look at it.
Thanks again S

Life has intervened and I’ve not looked at it yet but will do so soon and am grateful to hear your advice.
