After badgering redratbike earlier today ,thanks mark for your patience,
1
i have two options do i keep my full leo Vince system or do i get my oem system modded & buy a new can & link pipe to gain the extra bhp that's offered with this mod .
2
The collector that is on the bike now has quite thin tubes & so does the link pipe what difference this makes i have not got the foggiest idea & maybe a question for ed with the chip whats the difference between full system & the modded oem for me .
Thanks in advance peeps

phil

Cheers PJ, I used a rotary flapper type sanding wheel to get the worst of the oxidation off, then a polishing Mop and resin to polish it up.
And a few hours in the cave

Quick question

Why would you replace a full system for a collector mod ?

Fair comment, it all depends on the gains I guess.
We know from Redrats collectors with a Forza chip and can that there's good gains to be had over standard (10bhp midrange maybe) , so what does the full system give?
A bit of tinterweb searching me thinks

I would think it could depend on who made the full system Wink

Akro yes

Arrow yes

Harris  yes

Leo Vince hmm  possibly maybe

What I know

The collector compared to the Akra 2 into 2

The Akra just had the edge under 4 k

But pretty much the same gains above this.

I had a collector & moved to a Harris 2 into 2

I have noticed my bike pulls much harder from 6 k all the way up

Also completely different sound Big smileBig smile Awesome

This may be down to the exhaust design

its very different to both the Akra and Arrow

I was assuming yours was a single exhaust PJ? Is that correct?
Just noticed though that you say a 'Full system' so is it a 2-1 or 2-2?

that's just a 98-00 collector

I would say yours offers performance over a standard system ..as I said be happy with what you have it may well match a modded collector. Or be better Who knows....would an exhaust manufacturer really design and sell a system that didn't improve over standard?
