Ok boys got my 07 blade stand from German ebay for a nice price, fitted it today.

Easy but its worth noting that you must use the blade leg, main bolt and switch bolt for it all to work properly.

Much better position and not going to fall over in the wind....

great tip from the boys on here again

No bike 🙈

Stupid girl question alert...

When you buy the stand, does that have all the bits you need? Or do you have to buy any additional parts?

I found it better to use the original bolt as the switch thingy bolt didnt fully tighten up with the blade bolt and made switch a bit to loose. Also it caught the spring where as the original bolt didnt.

Buy a second hand stand and switch then strip the leg off the bracket keeping the Honda bolts to use on the Aprilia. Then simply unbolt the stand switch, the leg bolt from the RSV and install the honda leg using the honda leg bolt and Honda switch bolt.

Job done

1 bit of advice is to fit the spring before you fix the stand to the bike.. much much easier this way unless you possess herculean strength.

Which springs did you use. The Aprilia ones or the Honda ones?
If its not broken then fix it until it is

I just chopped a bit out of the middle of mine, turn a connector spigot on the lathe, it slots into both bits, welded, polished and painted, can't tell Smile

I'll post a pic of the bike, showing the lean angle on the stand as soon as it's warm and dry enough to wheel it outside Embarrassed

In all honesty, my stand hasnt made much difference to the lean angle of the bike, but it does kick out alot further making it much more stable imo

Mines defo more vertical so it's more "on it's wheels" rather than that constant sensation of the rear wheel being about to pop out as you get off.

It's quite a bit longer than the Aprilia one too must get my finger out and post up some pics when the flood subsides this morning

Think I'd either shorten that a mite or bend it out a bit if it was mine,it still looks a bit too upright to me.

No, it's just right and it's blowing like hell as I took the pics, I had it parked both ways into the wind and it's fine.

If anyone lives in the Merseyside area and wants to drop off their stand to me for £ 30 I will cut and extend your original and repaint it  , I have done it to mine and it works fine , I will post pics if anyone is interested
