Hi everyone.I used to be on this forum loads under the name of "blueflamefactory". I moved camp I'm afraid from a 04 Factory which I had no end of problems with to a 04 ZX10R and now a 05 ZX10R. I think the new ZX10R looks disgusting so could maybe be tempted to go for a new Factory again. Do any of you guys have problems with them and if so what are they? Thanks Rich[img][/img]

Hi I was wondering how you found the ZX10R after the Aprilias. Different I expect.

Hi Dave, before I bought the 04 ZX10R I had a 04 Factory and before that a 03 RSV, V twins were in my blood and I absolutely loved them, but unfortunately with all the problems I had with the Factory I decided to go for a ZX10R purely because of the looks really, the rave reports about the ten were intriguing also so I bought one. You cant compare the two bikes because they are so different. The Factory felt lazy compared to the ten and is definately a more radical riding position than the kwak. The Aprilia did everything you asked of it with finesse and stability, whilst the ZX10 is twitchy, alive and real fun to ride. Everytime I get off my bike I cant stop smiling

Hmmm, I love my Mille, but the ten is calling my name, "Daaaave.."

Hi Rich - fascinating to read your description of the difference in feeling between the 10 and the RSV, because for me it's exactly the opposite. Came to my 2000 RSVR from a ZX9R and it's the Aprilia which is the living, breathing thing to me. Highly capable (much more so than the 9 chassis wise) but always talking to me, feeling like it,s working with me rather than being told what to do. My 9 was a cracking bike, but it never gave me the buzz or let me enjoy myself the way that my Mille does. I wonder if it's the difference between pre 04 and post 04 models ? Can't help you with your dilemma mate, I'd say go back to the RSV, but I've never had any trouble with mine so its easy for me to still be in love with it ! What we do in life echoes in eternity.....

I have a ZX9R C1 thats cranking out just touching 144rwhp and i also have my 99 Mille, two totally different bikes but each have something that the other doesnt and take totally different approaches to riding them or so i have found. I got the Mille first having moved over from a GSXR750WT, awesome bike, but once i got used to the V Twin, i didnt think i would ever look back, the Mille lets you feel the power you are putting down as soon as you twist the throttle, the ZX9R builds for a second and then rips your arms off, i dont care what anyone says, the Kwaks have mid range by the bundle and can fend off most bikes in that department, In the corners the Mille is far more precise and feels more planted, it also feels like you are able to build the power out of the corner a lot more comfortably and a bit sooner too :) Just my tuppence, i ride both of mine regularly, but i always look forward to riding the Mille just for the experience of it :D Live life to thge full, but keep the rubber on the road

Hi Rich I have an 04 Factory and my mate who I ride with has a 05 ZX10 R yes I admit the kwak is a road rocket having ridden my mates but when it comes to the realy twisty bits I found the kwak rather lively where as the factory just gave me so much feed back and felt planted and gave me more confidence in the corners. Of course I am biased to the Factory but I have had a fair few 4 cylinder machines the last one being an R1. I dont think I could change my Factory for the kwak or even a Gixer 1000 K5 its a V thing

Interesting, I've got both, '05 RSVR & '05 ZX10 in my garage, no not both mine, the kwak belongs to my Brother-in-law. As said above, both very different bikes, RSVR, lazy and deceptivly quick, ZX10, bloody mental, but good fun. BigAl.

Iceman I would certainly think about another Factory but I would hope to god that I didnt have problems like the last one I had. One thing is for sure the Jap bikes in general are usually problem free. Rich
