Oh well its 04:10 hr's and I'm bored now only 3 hours left of a stupidly long 12hour shift.
Thank christ I can get on this forum to maintain my sanity.
 
The deepest thought I've had tonight was"why do the saudies want with a 500,000 cans of WD40, do they drink it instead of alcohol"?
At which point one exploded(woops too much CO2 in that one), its quite amazing how far a 500ml can of WD40 can travel and how quickly all the production staff jumped with fright then ducked, also the amount of fingers that went skywards when they saw us engineers laughing at them.
 
Oh well off for another piss and and another cup of that stuff that pretends to be coffee from the over priced vending machine to keep me awake.
 
Sorry for this, but thanks for reading it and if you work nights you know how I feel.

Been there, down that.  I used to work in an aerosols company too (Aerosols inernational in Wellington, Somerset), used to make WD40 and this weapons grade insect killer stuff called "PifPaf".  This stuff went to Saudi too and boy did it kill ANY insect instantly.

my company is full of aerosols too!!! We have to call them 'bus drivers' though

Worked nights for 8 years, been back on days for 8 years now, loved nights. Although boring as absolute fcuk 4 nights out of 5.

I'am fond of nights, they say VERY weird and amazing people only come out at night....

I`m on an alarm call out, does that class as working nights? Waiting for an engineer and I have to be back here at 8 for another 12hrs.

Mmm i used to work for tata but jumped ship when he was fooking about with overtime and the bonus at sc**thorpe...
I did 14 nights straight working on the sinter plant outage, changing the pallets which was not the issue with sleep until i went back on days.... It took me three days to change from night to day mode.... First time i had beed jet lagged without the holidayDead

Left at 5:30  had to go home 40 min drive, quick shower, brew and i`m back again.  Roll on 6pm I can shut the door and drive home to put the wee man to bed, cook tea and chill.

work at shotton been there 24 years and worked nights for last 18 years dont know any diiferent now plus them 4 days off a week are great

i miss nights too,not the work,but i miss the 4hrs kip then having all day everyday to do
what i like and get jobs done ect.
also,i could stay up all night on my nights off,and view tv in peace after the mrs went to bed.
id get in bed at 6am as she got up lol bliss.
 
cant stay awake passed 10pm on my days off now ffs.

Used to do 12 hr nights at boots , I did enjoy them as the way I looked at it was after 11 pm most people would be home so I wasn't missing anything ( it was a while ago)
