I have bought my dream bike. After 10+ years with RSV's I have gone to the " other" italian brand.

I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left

I loved my 848. Toured it all over Europe and it never let me down. So no hate from me.

Cheers Levi, it was an itch I've had for a very long time and is likely to be my last " road" sportsbike and a keeper but I've said that before LOL

Sold my factory and I'm clearing all my aprilia stock as I just don't have the time for breaking anymore and I want to focus on little projects rather than spending all my free time dealing with idiots on Facebook and standing in the queue at the post office.

Not turning my back on the apes, I've had my k6 750 tracker for 4 seasons now and my next one will be a RSV4 dedicated trackbike when they drop into my price range.

Hi Adam,
Just seen this and good for you, you only live once. As it happens I was in our local Ducati dealership on Saturday with my mate (Who just swapped his Kawasaki Z900 SP for a DiavelX) and there were some real beauties on show. I've always found the Ducati sport bikes a little cramped being 6'2" but always admire how (Most of them) look.

Cheers Ray it is s thing of beauty. I don't find it uncomfortable being a short arse and I can actually touch the floor easily unlike the RSV which feels huge in comparison. Shame the weather has turned and it will be tucked away soon and the scooter will be the weapon of choice LOL

I won't miss it only really used it to sell but inevitably got sucked in.

The way bike prices are falling the v4 may come sooner than expected.

A good mate of mine had the last 1098s Tricolure made ( they discovered it in the back of the factory forgotten due to a cancelled order, and it was finally regd about 18 months later than the rest) and he loved it.
He did have some issues though and when Moto Corse in Wrexham got around to sorting it for him he said it was pretty much perfect as it now went where it was pointed.  Apparently it was a known issue among 1098s owners, the fork internals were mostly swapped out for KTech valving and the springs changed front and rear.
This bought it up comparable to the 1098r if I recall,I had some conversations about it with a couple of  overseas customers who always kept one bike at the w/shop so they had a bike ready for whenever they wanted a trackday in this country they also kept one at home and rotated them so they always had a serviced bike to use wherever.
Obviously things were a little different if you have money and live in the channel isles.

I loved that bike and the sounds it made so no negativity from me, cracking bike . Enjoy.Thumbs Up
