Would it pass on a stock exhaust? I don't know much about it but I've heard of modern Euro 4 bikes failing. And the Mille was only ever Euro 1 even with the stock exhaust wasn't it?

It's a shame they weigh so much or I'd just use the stock one. Nice and quiet on the road and pass any track noise testing. But the same power as a race can. Or often a few hp more in the top end and without the midrange dip you get from not running the stock can. It'd be win-win for me if it weren't the fact it weighed so much.

the post office site quotes 40 odd quid for a medium parcel, i think this is larger than that so if you can get UPS or DPD to come pickup your more than welcome. but i dont it will pass the ulez, i reckon its going to cost you a bullseye to ship, as i said mate you want to come pick it up, thats not a problem.

Why not just sling it in the attic like I did,you may be glad of it someday.

I've seen a few people desperate when they realise their race cans won't pass noise testing and they have a trackday coming.

I used to take mine along just in case sometimes if they were known to be anal about readings

Yeah I'm keeping mine for the same reason. Knowing that if my baffled race can doesn't pass noise testing I'm sure the stock one will. But in Jim's case he said it doesn't fit so there's no point in him keeping it.

Though it doesn't feel like it, it will weigh less than 15kg so you'll be able to send through Hermes or something. Just checked and that would cost £9.20, with £20 insurance cover. I find them handy to use because the Morissons down the road from me has one of those drop off locker things outside. Just pull up, scan the barcode and go. Or I think they'll collect from you for probably about 80p more.

Bonus! My mate used to have the same system on his eddy rep and he said it always tested well too. Would love to have one just for the noise reduction alone.

Oh right, you mean the single aprilia race only can? Or the twin system because Mark had twin system and said it was never over 98dB.

What are you running now then? Would love to be that quiet.

Looks good anyway. Perfect size for the Mille too. If you're getting those noise figures from a similar size can it tells me I need to repack mine.

i have a sneeky suspicion that the pipe is from a 2005 r6 i bought a 2005 r6 back in 2005 new and it was an extra £400 to actually get it with a termi pipe and for the life of me its the exact same, i know it was a long time ago but i swear !!!

Most cans look the same to me ha. 450mm long? 60mm inlet? Carbon fibre? Must be the same!

Just seen your sets. Look to be nice and far back with good adjustability. Who made them, don't think I've seen them like that for a Mille before. Look like they could be from an R6 too.

Look like the Harris ones in style but yeah look proper rearward

That being said they are similar again to the Aprilia items from the accessories book

I’m sure they are official Aprilia rearsets and they were available in blue as well.

Black and red also as well as gold and blue.

Still some red ones on eBay now

You could even buy the pillion footrests in the same colours. Doubt there was many takers

Like these?

Yes, could do with getting some new brake and gear levers. The sets and levers were given to me by Markrsvr who used to be on here. Less pretty than the AP sets but can go further back and are more rigid. Only thing I miss is the gear linkage. Rear brake absolutely fine with the MC in stock position but I'd quite like to try race shift.

Couldn't find those red ones on eBay. Sort of annoying that the gen 2 or RSV4 sets don't fit gen 1. What's the difference? Bolt spacing? Shame because there's a lot more available for RSV4. Think R6 fit spacing wise but are the wrong reach..

Yeah those are Aprilia ones

You could get a reversible linkage from Aprilia and may still find one floating about or Falco ones do fit

The Gen2 and RSV4 are different spacing a yes
