Changed the plugs, plug leads and caps which got rid of the flashing EFI on the dash and got rid of the misfire too, but now the clutch slips. Did it before so I changed the steel and friction plates which I guess didn't cure it. Disconnected the vacuum tube which made no difference. I reckon thinner oil may help, what oil should I be using 10/40 or 5/30 semi or fully sinthetic?

I know a lot of people use semi, but I've used full synth without problems for a couple of years as that's what the PO put in my Gen 1 Tuono.
Whichever you use I'd suggest sticking with the recommended 15w/50 viscocity.

Depends what it has run historically. If it’s spent it’s life on semi which is likely as that’s oem it will likely slip on full unless the pads are changed. Occasionally u get away with switching it but semi is the safest way if you not sure what it had before.

Have you changed the levers at all or have the pin in the lever too far out? If it's resting on the master plunger it can create slip.
I only ever run semi 10/40 on any of the bikes even the race bike with a proper slipper fitted. If in doubt of what to look at check with Griff as some full synths are okay

Cheers, Fibre plates were just done. I thought I might get away with an oil change, but I fear the notching on the basket and hub is the rear problem, but new ones are not available anymore, and all the used ones are as bad as mine, although they are the same as rsv/tuono/futura items.Who is Griff? is he on here?

Normally I'd say no but he has come back on tonight! Long overdue.
He is Fusebox on here but more importantly the owner of Aprilia Performance and this site. Numbers at the top. Will help you out without hesitation
