Hi all, my rear tyre has been plugged after a puncture. What are peoples thoughts on using it on a trackday?

Should be OK provided it's been repaired properly and there's no sidewall/edge damage.

For the price of a new tyre I have always gone for replacement soon as I can , but that's my opinion?

Using a plugged tyre on track is sketchy at best, the tyre is subjected to stresses and strains that it wont come close to seeing on the road and that plug is designed for road conditions not the track.

Personally I wouldn't risk life, limb & bike but like snowman thats just my opinion.

mmmm.....  Two wheels, one compromised, not for me. I would treat the new tyre as part of the cost of the trackday.

Confused I`ve got a mate who has been stunt riding for years, done burnouts, etc. on plugged tyres. That's why I got it plugged in the first place, normally I would have replaced it. I think I`ll take the safe option, leave the Blade at home and use the Mille Smile. It has an evo titanium exhaust so I doubt it will pass 102db noise test. Will it run ok with the standard exhaust and evo chip?

Took the Mille round cadwell two hours after the rear being plugged........no issues. Was a new tyre that managed to get a screw stuck right in the middle on the way down to Louth. Cool

I thought that as well but my Evo Titanium which sounds incredibly loud to me sailed through testing there.  They even said it was quiet compared to most they test Shocked

Just did croft today and the exhaust db was 101.5, the noise limit was 102. I couldn't believe it passed
