A Mind Blowing Weekend

Now that the nights are cold and damp, i thought you might like to share a weekend i had back in 2011
For a bike mad nutcase this was just so unbelievable.

^ Three mates and myself went on our bikes to Le Mans, and a friend in the know gave us a access all areas pass.

  ^On practise day i wandered into the Pedrosa/ Stoner/ Dovizioso garage and came across Livio Suppo.

^ Here I'm looking at a carbon disc. A mechanic said, don't drop it, it costs Ten thousand quid.

^ I wander outside and find I'm at Valentino Rossi and Nicki Haydens pit box.

^ Im looking through my camera lens, and get in the way as Rossi comes in and his footrest cuts my leg.
To stop it healing, i picked it for at least three weeks.

^ I turn around and the great man is in touching distance. My blood is pumping with adrenalin.

^ He jumps off the bike, goes into the garage and amongst all the press photographers, i get to the front of the garage, and zoom in to him having a discussion with JB.

^ In the next garage i saw Bradley Smith doing his weights.

^ With practise over we head to the VIP suite where we are offered unlimited free food and beer.
My fellow Aprilia buddies, this is now getting silly.

^ By now the free beer is starting to take effect. My hands are sweating as i hold the camera.

^ This is just crazy. Somebody please pinch me.

^ Had a nice chat with Kieth Flint. Top geezer.

^ There is a bit of a commotion behind me and Slash has arrived, who has the biggest of body guards.

^ His body guard was huge, and keeping a serious image, but i bet my mate i could make him laugh, but he was having none of it. Look at the size of his fist next to my face. You can see a guy to the left, pointing at me to cool it.

^ The free beer is flowing, music is playing, so I'm trying to impress a young lady with my Salsa skills.

^ Got a quick grab shot of Marco Simoncelli with his dad on the pillion and an enthusiastic fan.
RIP dear Marco

^ The next day before the racing, my phone goes nuts with the lads back home texting, Oi Pete, just seen you on the Telly. Got home and watched Moto GP to make sure they wasn't winding me up.
Well i hope you have enjoyed this. I don't think i will ever have a mind blowing weekend like this again.
