Seen a couple of lads at Southport tonight on Milles, anybody off here? I had a white Arai on, 04 plate Mille R... then went to the Scotch Piper?? maybe say hello next time round....

Often fancied a run up to Southport, I live in North Wales, but have customers in Southport, so sort of know the area.
Just wondered where the best roads are from there? Where's the Scotch Piper? |

If you where coming from North Wales mate you'd not find many decent roads in this area, dont get me wrong, there are a few local back roads that the lads play on in between Southport and Wigan ( for us ) but nothing like Wales or the Lakes etc ... they're just local mid week bike meets, where we go for a quick spin.... weekends are spent elsewhere

I show my face at Southport and the Scotch sometimes. Mostly on Wddnesday evenings (which is the usual bike meet night at the Scotch). I do the run up to Southport from Horwich via Croston Bends then on to the Scotch from there. Good run in warm weather - absolutely horrid in the cold and wet though!

You sort of hang around ignoring or talking to people depending on how social you are, look at nice bikes you may want or can't afford, look at bikes of your yoof and laugh how skinny the tyres are and make unhelpful comments like "I had one of those, sh*t aren't they?" or "I had one of those, did you know that xxxx has a tendency to fall off?" just as the owner is about to ride away.

I love Southport Wednesdays
 I don't commute on my bike and can't ride unless I'm childfree (which I am on Wednesdays) so it's the highlight of my week a lot of the time. Breaks the week up and the drudgery of work, give me something to look forward to on Mondays and Tuesdays. We ride there with a couple of our biker friends and we just have a blast, nothing better than riding in a small pack where everyone knows each other's riding, on a nice warm summer's evening. Park up, eat chips & gravy/ice-cream depending on the weather, have a few brews. Sometimes we perv on the bikes, other times we just sit and chat with each other about life and have a good laugh. When it gets dark, we ride back and have fun on the roads that we know like the back of our hands and get home feeling thoroughly destressed and looking forward to the weekend Guess it's different if you go on your own, we sometimes have chats with other people or see some other people we know there but mainly just stick together and are in stitches most of the time. Really miss it during the winter months.

I virtually always ride alone, I have mates, honest, but just get on & rude. I'll stop for a bite & stretch and matter to anyone but I m out to ride. Maybe I should Bob up tho, it's only 20 mins off

Was anyone there tonight?? I took a picture of 2 Tuonos and an RSV, a Bluono then rode in but we were going so I couldn't take a picture of it.
Then on the coast road I passed another Tuono (could have been an RSV) and they honked at me so they must have recognised my bike as being a T! They do have awesome headlights!! Anyway, some pics:     |

So she's broken up with you and you're not staying there now so I'm guessing she's asked you to leave - get the bike ASAP dude. If nothing else, it will sort your head out going for rides, especially now the weather is picking up.
