Hi All,
First of all I a new and proud owner of a 2001 silver falco, upgraded
from an SV650S and I'm loving every minute. Got a few questions and I hope you can answer.
I've got a scottoiler to fit and I was wondering if anyone knew of any thing to be weary of when fitting it.
Also I'm having trouble trusting the sidestand, particularly as I live up a hill and the wind has already blown it over once. Once I'd finished weeping I was happy to find that there was no damage, a combination of landing mostly in a raised flower bed and having a good thick cover on seemed to do the trick. Are there any after market sidestands available that give it a bit more lean?
One last question. I've not had a bike lock the back wheel while downshifting but I'm pretty weary of it on a 1000cc twin. I'm trying to get my blipping technique cleaned up and I was wondering if anyone has had much trouble with locking up (any advice on blipping technique also gratefully accepted).
Cheers

Hi, re locking your back wheel, the pneumatic slipper clutches only operate on 100% closed throttle so no blipping if you want the slipper to keep the rear in check, i had a few probs getting used to it on my rsvr at first but now i blip on downshifts when im riding steady, but no blipping when riding hard they do work well but i find even though the rear doesnt lock it still moves about left/right when im pushing it and braking hard.
