help!!!!! following on from fuel warning light post - no fuel wasnt the answer! whenever I'm sitting in traffic for a few mins and then pull away it kangaroos as the engine cuts in and out and then dies. It will re-start and doesnt seem temperature related - one minute its fine at 90 with the fan cutting in, later it dies at 77. has anyone heard of this / had a similar problem - thinking injectors clogged - any ideas?

Could be any number of things to be honest.
I take it your not getting any dash warnings ?
I would see if you can determine if it's dropping 1 cylinder or both when it happens. If it's just 1 then plugs/plug caps/coil possibly.
If it's both then tilt switch/ side stand switch both of which will cut the engine or a fuel supply issue like the pump or a sensor associated with the fueling such as pressure sensor.
As it stands there are too many variables and you need to narrow the field a bit

sussed it out, air restrictor removed, but wire 16 not cut, as soon as it got a bit warm - no flamin summer - it showed up.
now engine sorted, well, still some rough bits that another chip has solved, its highlighted a moving biting point in the clutch - will change fluid and bleed, any help on type of fluid?

The fluid gets very hot. The higher temp rating the better but be careful as some race types absorb moisture really quickly. Needs Dot approval of some kind really.
I use Brembo LCF600.
