I'm looking to get more air into my '02 mille. What's the consensus on what works best? Complete race kit Edwards air scoops 98-01 collector box velocity stacks or all of the above together?[?] Mother Nature rides a biker

Fitted an Evoluzione oversize airkit to my 2000 RSV a few weeks ago and I can honestly say it makes quite a difference. There seems to be more mid range urge and the throttle response feels a whole lot smoother. The sound alone makes it worthwhile in my opinion!!! I initially intended buying a Renegade kit from Jorge, but the Evo one came up on eBay at a price I couldn't ignore.[:)] I'm still running a standard can on the bike, and I 'spose to get complete benefit I should go for a race can, but even with the derestricted standard can and the wire snip in the ECU, the airkit seems to have made a big difference. Only other mod I'm running is a 16t front sprocket. I highly recommend them.

Thanks for the info Ecosse - I get paid next week so I'll be looking to spend a few bob. I'd budgeted for the lot so I'll have a few more beer tokens left over I guess[:D] Mother Nature rides a biker

yeah, i bought a Renegade copy of ebay. instead of being made from carbon fibre the base plate was aluminium (who cares)and the air filter was a Pipercross fitted on the base plate and over the inlet trumpets. the conversion does away with the airbox altogether. It has made a good difference to the bottom and midrange power. i noticed it when on the Nurburgring and hammering it out of bends with my mate on his 996 behind. initially there is a bigger surge of power than the Duke. the Duke then gets back into its stride at the higher revs. it is quite noticeable though so worth doing. go on, you know you want to. oh yes - and it does sound nice too!

I am, I am! I placed my order yesterday for the race air kit and collector box. I'm looking forward to a bit more extra clout outta bends, but I gotta admit it's the sound that I'm after too - I had a ride on a modded RSVR up in the Highlands this summer (on one of the dry days[8)]) at 7:00am with the road to myself - it was the badgers nadgers. Oi! Listen up. get onto ebay and look in "motorcycles parts and accessories" cos there are 2 Renegade air box kits going cheap. these are usually about £180. sam

This always happens...[8)] I made the order and paid my dosh for a new one two days ago! Straight after I'd done so, an Evoluzione race kit came up, now two Renegades![8)][:)] Mother Nature rides a biker
