2009 Aprilia Tuono up for sale. I have owned the bike for almost 5 years and fancy a change.

13,111 miles, 2 previous owners,2 keys,12 months Mot with no advisories.

Service stamps at 630 miles and 2678 miles. During my ownership I have serviced the bike myself. Just changed oil, filter, air filter and new brake and clutch fluid. Valves were checked at 9500 miles by AP.

Bike comes with Akrapovic titanium end cans, Ohlins rear shock(rebuilt and spring resprayed in 2017), Ohlins steering damper,Upgraded starter cables,Power Commander 3 with custom map and dyno printout, Tuono v4 indicators. Have the original Shock, steering damper, pillion pegs and passenger seat which will be included.

Bike is in good condition for it's age, few marks on the front mudguard and has the usual age related marks you would expect.

£4500

Not huge power gains but the fuelling was definitely improved

Mines was with Akra end cans, Map 2 and standard filter. Really smooths the bike out a low speeds and made the bike a bit more economical on fuel....not that I was counting the MPG

Yeh mine has the common low speed fuelling? Only get it following traffic through 30 mph villages etc, as is said lowering the gearing helps which I’m running 15/42 gives it more grunt too IMO

Good skills

That was pretty quick

Where did you sell it through? I can never decide the best pace to sell a bike. eBay gets the good coverage of course

I had it on Gumtree and it Sold after 2 days. It is a small independent dealer who has bought it. Just waiting on the courier coming to collect. After a bit of negotiating I agreed on a price. Ebay definitely provides the best coverage O think but always try gumtree first as it's free Smile

Please do tell me to bugger off and mind my own business if you want to, but how much was the sale price you agreed? I only as as I have a Gen2 Tuono in an oh so very similar spec so it'll be interesting to know what the rate is considering this is an actual sale vs just an asking price!

Don't mind atall, I sold it for £4250. Considering I bought the bike 5 year ago in pretty much same spec with 8500 miles less on it for £4300 I was happy with that. Yeah I could have maybe held on for a bit more but in these times we are in you don't know how long a sale can take or the amount of spare cash someone has.

That’s a good price

Part ex on these are around £3500-3750 on a factory so if a private dealer is offering £4250 that’s a corking deal

Cheers Sparky. That does sound good, especially considering the price you paid a few years back. I'm not looking to sell, but I think any motorcyclist who says they never look at other bikes for sale all the time is a fibber!LOL

Yeah happy with that price to be honest considering the amount of fun I've had with the bike it's cost me very little. Just need to have a think about what I'd like to get next. Thinking about a track bike but not sure if I want a dedicated track bike or something not too expensive that I can use on the road also and not worry if I bin it on the track.
