2002 RSV in red with 44000 miles with one previous owner, a long history and thoroughly maintained, provides faultless fuelling from the set-up PCIII and great drive from the lowered gearing. Apart from tax (currently SORNd) the bike is ready for a years riding. I am moving to France and need to down size so I have to sell my Mille. I have been delaying this moment but I cannot leave it any longer.

I am looking for £1800 or very nearest offer and have not yet put the bike on ebay - I wanted you guys to have first refusal.

All inspections of the bike and paperwork/history are encouraged as I want to make an honest sale.

MORE DETAILS

I have a 2002 RSV in red with 44000 miles on the clock. It has a complete service history and was full dealer serviced up to 28000 miles. It has also had many of the normal issues dealt with including new starter solenoid, new sprag clutch, new oil pressure sensor seal. The front forks were serviced at 38000 miles and the throttle cables have been renewed. Royston Edwards Performance have completed much of the recent work/maintenance on my bike in the last 3 years and can be contacted via http://www.repsmotorcycles.co.uk/

The Tyres are currently a Pirelli Corsa front and Pirelli Dragon Evo back for recent commuting. The tyres are road worthy (just been through MOT on 16 Nov) but if I was keeping the bike I would put a fresh set on.

Type of Use:

I have used the bike to commute, tour, train (advanced riding), scratch and have sadly only done one track day on it.

The bike will be sold with the following:

Datatool System 3 alarm.
Power Commander III (with dyno specific mapping by R.E.P.S Motorcycles - google them and ask to speak to Roy for more history - or follow this link: http://www.repsmotorcycles.co.uk/)
Ohlins rear shock (remote pre-load version)
R&G crash bungs (upper and lower fairing bungs and front spindle bungs)
Original Exhaust (Boxed and in the same condition as it was directly after low speed accident - see picture album link above)
Stomp Grips fitted to the tank
Arrow end can with removable baffle (fitted)
New chain
New 44 tooth rear sprocket
16 tooth front sprocket
Original rear brake calliper (boxed)
Larger rear brake calliper (fitted)
Has Rear Seat Pod (fitted)
Has pillion seat with gel insert and high grip cover (Boxed)
Haynes Manual
Electronic Workshop Manual

Documentation:

V5
MOT valid until 16 Nov 10
Currently SORNd
All Service History , receipts for parts and services, past tyre receipts, past MOTS
All original documentation including service book, manual etc
Spare Key and Spare alarm fob plus key security tag.

Modifications:

The front fairing has been trimmed to allow the use of 'comfort bars' that I ran with for a year. It is now running the original clip-ons but the fairing can obviously accommodate 'comfort bars' in the future.

Damage/Wear & Tear:

This bike was declared a Cat D financial write off in 2005. I dropped the bike on black ice outside my house and Carol Nash & Fowlers of Bristol went crazy with the repair estimate. The bike never changed ownership (always mine), I kept the bike, took the cash and repaired the cosmetic damage. NOTE - the right hand side of the swing arm retains the dent and abrasions from the exhaust caused during the accident and the clumsy handling whilst in the hands of the assessors. I have photos of the bike directly after the accident.

There are abrasions on the rear seat area from my throw-over panniers and general wear marks around the bike. There is also a noticeable abrasion on the right lower fairing from the tyre of a Mitsubishi Shogan that tried to ride through me in 2007 - I kept the bike upright and had to council the driver through a locked door!!!
