How can you not admire such skill and craftsmanship? My plastic tank swelled just slightly but I got all of the fuel out just in time that the seat still goes on and off with a bit of a faff, I don’t ride it anymore as it’s sat in my lounge being admired by all who come in, Troy Corser copy SP with only 3.000 miles on it and plenty of polish 😁

Is that so, I hadn’t realised that. When I bought it it had been resprayed to look like a Troy Corser and had SP detailed just below the seat cowl and I therefore assumed very much later that was what I had, I do know that it’s got carbon fibre guards, is light as a feather compared to my other bikes and it’s still a beautiful bike to look at has done only 3,000 miles but other than that I’ve little knowledge of it to be honest so thank you for putting me straight on that point.

A true sp is a very different bike to a normal rsv, the engine was designed by cosworth and has different bore, stroke and compression with numerous other mods, the frame has an adjustable swingarm pivot, sp yokes, red sp calipers, shotgun exhaust, full carbon fibre bodywork, aluminium tank and many other differences. They were a good buy for a rare bike for many years and have only started to really gain in value lately.

As Warren said a special bike

One for sale here

https://www.apworkshops.co.uk/rsv-mille-sp-142.html

If it was a ducati wsbk special it would probably be £55-75k

I picked it up on Friday, I’ve just gotta swap the pump over and give the bike a good clean.
