Hello everyone, new to this site but though that i would get in touch after buying a Tuono R [:D].I picked it up from D K motorcycles and every thing went really well all the way home.parked on the drive showed the wife, then i started it up and thats when all the oil pumped out[:0].Got in contacted with dk's,they said call the AA (Aprilias covered). He found that a clip on the oil line under the engine had failed and that the pipe had come off. This is the pipe leading up to the top of the oil cooler on the right hand side. The AA man had no oil so i had to fill it myself.I love the bike but feel a bit let down.Could you give me your views on what to do next,if i had been riding at the time i'm sure that i would have crashed it to something.[}:)]

Sounds like you have been lucky there m8, I personally would be going Ballistic at D&k and asking for a bike change as you dont know how much oil it leaked on the way home, maybe even ring Aprilia themselves and ask them to get involved due to it being a authorised dealer and them obviously not PDIing it correctly, also its worth checking with the Citizens advice to see what advice they can give you

Thankyou both for you views.,The bike didn't lose any oil on the way home ,it just flooded out when restarted. It only lost about 1/2 a litre.I'm more of the opinion of spoonz.I have now covered 300 miles staying at the 6000 rev limit, which is annoying my mate on his 600,because he now knows that he won't keep up after the first service has been completed.I had a ktm525exc before and used to leave him on the corners but now i can leave him on the straights as well.[:D][:D].As before thankyou both for your views.[^]
