Cheers Nicky, the guy I bought it off was going to strip it and sell everything separately if I hadn’t bought it, I couldn’t stand to see it happen.

Mark at rcd has made me some new rearsets and I sourced a gear shaft support from Gilles, just waiting on a 90 degree banjo for the brake line.

This piece of art turned up yesterday 😊

I’ve had the rds cartridge kit fitted in the forks as well, can’t wait to get them setup.

Oo fancy suspension Thumbs Up

Never seen a gear shaft support, what is it for? More positive shifts? Is flex a real issue?

Helps to support the gear selector shaft, they make them for quite a few bikes and it makes it a more positive shift especially if you run a quick shifter.

My mate has one on his rc8 and they do help, some bikes have quite a long selector shaft and you get movement through the whole selector mechanisms so everything helps.

That is going to feel amazing on the new suspension my mates k8 was fantastic in stock on the road.
I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left

Paul at pcr performance had the gixxer in on Friday and re flashed the ecu for me to suit the new arata system, he’s also took the limiter off the first three gears and the top speed limiter and turned off the lights for the pair valve and exhaust servo I’ve taken out.

It’s getting difficult to find full systems for these and I found this at frank wratthalls, he’d had it on his shelf since 07 and did me a deal on it, he was just about to post it and decided to check the box and found the link pipe was missing so I got a full ti system for £700 minus the link pipe, I had a spare akra link pipe and a local exhaust company modded it to fit.

He got his shipped from usa iirc.
As you say,not cheap, specialy with twin cans on the r1.
Gixer looks superb,as do all your bikes mate!
Only owned the k1 gixer 1000 and that was a beast
So these newer ones should fly.

Bit slow on the 11, she’s running but needs smaller jets, it sounds fantastic on the dyno though.

Well my braketech discs turned up today and couldn’t wait to get them on, fitted on the wheel and back in the bike, why won’t my caliper seat right, turns out the gixxer is fitted with piddley 310mm discs originally and me thinking they were 320, I’d ordered 5mm spacers to fit the 330mm braketech’s so I’ve had to order 10mm spacers and longer bolts but in the bright side the brakes will be even better than I had hoped.

The beauty of radial brakes, makes those sort of changes so easy.

A question on your titanium fasteners: Have you changed the torques settings at all? In theory you should but I guess most don't.

The only main ti fasteners are the rear and front wheel spindles, the rear I do to 100nm and the front to 50nm as it has the pinch bolts.
