Well after 4 years laid up in the garage I decided to see if the old girl would start, noticed water on the floor from two sources.. the garage roof is leaking and so as it turned out we're both my radiators..all be it pin holes..so thought I,d get the epoxy to temp fix which it did, charged battery and topped water level up..and up and up..mmm thought just try and see if it'll start for a couple of secs and she burst into life as if nothing was wrong, no steam out the exhaust, no odd noises, shut her down after a few seconds and decided to drain oil and whoosh... water and expensive oil mix..so out of curiosity I tried filling the water again with no oil plug and oil filter removed and water poured out...so head gasket probably buy how likely is it to be the little triangle gasket between the crankcase, I know which I'm hoping for!! What's your thoughts guys, my fault for abandoning her but she was well looked after up until I parked her up

I would buy a sniffer to look for exhaust gasses in the water which will tell you if it’s the head gasket. Given the rate at which it sounds it’s mixing, it’s pretty bad. The other potential is a major failure of the water pump seal.

If it pours out when just filling from gravity I wouldn’t say it’s a head gasket unless it’s catastrophically failed, possibly seal on the water pump?
