could anyone advise of pros and cons of going for 190 rear or 180 on gen 2 Tuono,thanks

Assuming they are both the same 55 profile then the 190 has a slightly bigger contact patch and gentler sidewall angle due to the wider overall width. The 180 will be a bit lighter and a steeper sidewall.
The crux of that is the 180 will turn a bit easier and fall on it's side a bit quicker but the 190 will have a bit more ultimate grip and might not square off quite so quick. To be honest there is not much in it. 190/50 is considerably slower to turn in my experience. Didn't like it at all. |

Personal preference
I use 190/55 and quite happy with that. I think the only reason 180's were used on the older bikes was due to the only profile available in those days in 190 was a 50 profile which slowed the turning slightly. I have a 180 scrub on my track Mille and to be quite honest I couldn't tell the difference,price,availability and pose value are equally relevant |

thanks for the info on the tyres thinking of Metzeler rr 7,Michelin power rs or Dunlop Sportsmart TT ?

not used the others but m7’s my fave. Decent life if you don’t motorway them

I had pilot power 3 on my gen 2 and they were good tyres but I prefer the 7rr. Lasting well and more grip than I'll ever need lol

Always had Dunlop Sprt Smarts 1&2 not tried the 3 and now the TT is out , I bloody love them but never tried others apart from the orig tyres which were dreadful

Have run sportsmarts in past and I loved them too they were a good tyre
