I'd not thought of that aspect before Confused

I guess a twin can setup must be quieter as there's twice the can volume and sound absorption

Looking forward to the next track day

The twin systems aren't quite double as they are smaller diameter, usually about 52 mm inlets but it all helps.

I've only ridden my Edwards for few miles upon purchase, It's been laid up in my warehouse since then LOL, But I was shocked how quite and "smooth" it sounded compared to my 2000 R with a Giannelli titanium which was freshly repacked! So yes in my limited experience  they seem to be quieter.

That's what you want then. These bikes seem to struggle with noise otherwise. Shame the 2-2 systems are so rare and expensive.

yes and no: they have more volume to reduce the noise, but on the other hand they can be "less restrictive" which means more power but also more noise-> in total they are +/- as load as a 2-1 but you can gain a bit more power (especially midrange).
One of the Akra cans freshly revised weights 1,3kg + severeal 100g for the extra pipes^^

When I got the Mille off Marko I really expected it to be savagely loud (with that big bore Evo5 system)but its loads quieter than the Evo6 system on the Tuono , and I know that's a big bore system but the silencer outlets aren't as large diameter as the single silencer on the Mille...I was actually really surprised just how quiet that is in comparison (although it did set my mums car alarm off the other week so it's not too quiet😀)..
Better to have something you don't need than need something you don't have....
