Well it finally turned up, a year after I paid for it and after getting screwed over by the shipping company it’s here, turned up utterly filthy and with a couple of small scratches that they’ve got to sort at there expense.

I literally thought about this yesterday ( too much time at work boredBig smile) and wondered if I'd missed the delivery. Great it's finally here, sh*t it's taken so long and has damage!!!. I suppose the haulage company just see it as freight and not someone's pride and joy. What's the plan mate?
I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left

I’ve cleaned it up and the shipping company is going to raise a claim for the scratches, I can’t say anything good about the shippers as I got royally screwed over by them and the bike turned up utterly filthy and damaged and no apologies from them at all, but that’s done with now and I’ll hopefully get it started over the weekend. I can’t wait for some nice weather and get the first miles on this, I’ve had a few people tell me I shouldn’t ride it and to leave it zero miles but screw that, I’ve bought it to ride 😁

It took longer in the us as part of the deal was i wanted it a serviced and running machine, it's twenty years old and is zero mile and had never been started, they found with it siting for so long that it needed a new ecu and had to source one, it cost them $2500 which they covered to be fair to them and all this took a few months and then it sat in us customs waiting for them to do the paperwork for weeks, it then got shipped here and the shipping company had screwed up the quote and it ended up costing me a significant amount extra in import duties, weeks of arguing went by but basically they have you by the short and curlies as you sign the machines over to them for shipping incase you don't pay the required duties to hmrc so i was basically screwed, whilst this was going on the bike is sitting in there warehouse getting filthy and damaged. Shippio can well and truly go f**k themselves in the future and the cheeky b******s asked if i would change the bad review i had put on trust pilot.

It’s not going to get used a lot but it is going to get the cables stretched, when you turn the ignition on the injectors go through a setup motion and wind up and down, it’s trick to look at in a geeky way.

Yes I was talking to Griff about it, it’s called anti dumping tax and the shipping company royally f####d up on the quote, I nearly sent the bike back to the us because of it but either way I was going to get screwed with charges so I might as well end up with a really trick bike, it somewhat soured it though.

It’s not a new tax but basically because we’ve left the eu we don’t have a trade agreement with the us so this tax is getting applied both ways, if the vehicle is over 30 years old it doesn’t apply though.

I had told the shipping company to send it back and they told me they would send the paperwork through the next day, it took them five weeks to send it and in that time I managed to raise the funds to keep it, the day I was emailing them to tell them I’d keep it they sent the paperwork through for the export back to the us, when they delivered it it was absolutely filthy and has a couple of scratches, this company has a stand at the bonhams Stafford auction advertising a world class service, I haven’t seen anything of this yet, I think I was chosen as last year’s victim for all the bad luck.

At small throttle opening it helps to stop the fuel hitting the butterfly and forming large droplets.

Iam sure after a few rides out and the compliments you get it will be worth the hassle and the expense, it’s a stunner mate. On a slightly different note a good mate of mine bought a rather tasty Harris from over here last year, got the lad to strip the bike , crate it up and ship it to his home in the U.S. as (Motorcycle Parts) and saved a good lump, obviously not in the same league as the Santa but just a thought for anyone.
