Stick a request on Shiply. If you’re in no hurry make it clear you’d accept it as a “back load”, ie groupage with other bikes/goods in the van. I’ve got a bike down from Aberdeen to Cambs for £75 before just by fitting in with the couriers existing commitments.

Guy local to us does nationwide bike transport, Bikehaul-UK. Great reputation and won't take your eyes out. He does a lot of work for local dealers as well as normal punters like you and me. I do know people who have used him and everyone rates what he does. Ask for 'Tank'

I hired a transporter van from avis in summer for 24 hours for 29 quid which I thought was cheap.

One thing I've wondered when using a courier if you're not seeing it, how do you pay for bike?
