Please don't hate me, it's not my fault.

Remember my bad luck at the end/beginning of the year?

Then the slipper clutch appeared -and then ultimate carbon tank a day or 2 later.... and I was in the right place at the right time for both, showed my luck was turning (Mystic Meg)

Well after seeing a pic of the tank on FB, a gentleman from the Netherlands contacted me regarding some CF side fairings.

I thought, no I don't need those, I've already got QB carbon ones..... Until he sent me some pics... They're MSS and have the correct airpuller shapes for the 01-03, rather than the fairings with the earlier shape pullers from QB carbon.

I had to have them. Evil Smile

These are my QB ones that are currently fitted, you see the airpullers are the earlier type (and before you lot start, that carpet is my bike container, not my houseboat LOL):

Nice one , the qb carbon is ok but the mss far nicer. Contacted numerous people over the years trying to get quality carbon bodywork made and they all make up excuses not to do it even though they advertise one off and custom work.

I know you have buddy, I've got my eyes and ears peeled for you as well.

That genuine carbon SP seat and cowl you got was a steal buddy, probably once in a lifetime chance? Big smile

Rick very pleased for you, I believe when you start, you might aswell go all the way.
Hence the Mad Dog is 1127 😂.
Your bike is immaculate, but now with the big Bore and the slipper and Ignijet it's going to end up a very special bike.
Fair play to you, we all need some luck sometime. Luck really is making the best of an opertunatiy when it presents itself, you certainly done that with some zeal 😂

Thanks for your kind words Rich. Yes I've been very lucky, right place and right time. If I hadn't bought the tank, then these fairings wouldn't of found me. Funny how it works sometimes Big smile

I saved for 5 or 6 years to do these things. Whilst friends were down the pub etc, I went without. I'm not wealthy by any means, but this bike is my vice and one extravagance. It helps not having kids or a mortgage, though steel narrowboats and big dogs take a lot of maintenance. Disability through my bike injuries will undoubtedly end my riding career, so carpe Diem and all that -make the best of things and count my blessings. There's always someone worse off.

Apart from getting the big bore motor in, I'm officially on save mode again.

I cannot wait to follow "Mad dog developments" progress on the 1127. Now THATS going to be really special. You're taking it as far as it can pretty much go -and that, in my book, is the thing to do for anything in life  Clap Big smile Thumbs Up

If you save all the trick bits for Sunday best then there'll be bugger all left of it for the rest of the week ...

I think there's going to need to be a back up bike added to the stable soon

Personally i never agree with saving things and not using them in case of the what if, spent a load on mine and it gets used and abused and over serviced, no time for trailer queens, my father has a 57 Buick road master that is better than new and highly modified and never ever takes it out just in case it rains, f##k that it a car and was designed to be used as such.

You're totally right of course Hemi and the bike has been built/ is being built to be ridden.

I used to hate it when bikes in shows, weren't ridden there and arrived on a trailer or in a van.

I once got hold of a perfect and almost new standard side fairing, to replace one whose decals had not faired well in the UV. Put it on in the morning and the bike fell over on the original stand, just after lunch!

They'll be used as intended, not just on Sundays really LOL Wink
