Sorry, I don't get your point. Maybe I'm a bit slow too!

The consensus on here previously and on that thread is that the RSV speedo is VERY accurate. It reads off the rear wheel rotation so gearing changes won't affect it. The only thing that will is any variation in rear tyre circumference between tyre brands/sizes.

yeh sorry I just posted this in a free min at work.

I was just always curious why it felt like I was going quicker (or the same speed) on my rsv than my vfr even though the speedo said I wasn't. I was pleased to discover that i was correct.

Thought i'd post for anyone else who didn't know or realise - like me.

When my speedo is reading 173MPH, the actual speed measured by Tag Heuer equipment is 167.318MPH
With a 190/50 tyre

The speedo on every Aprilia I have ever owned has been accurate to within 2%. On the Tuono I have now the sat-nav says 70mph, speedo says 69mph, that's with a new 190/55 tyre. I remember coming home from work one day and a work mate on a R6 said we were doing 140mph, strange I said because I never topped 120 and I was practically pushing you along. He reckoned my speedo must be knackered because he's used to high speeds and can tell he was going 140mph if not more LOL.
