I use one of these
It outputs the speed in the signal form the speedo expects and has a short calibration routine where you use a hidden button on the back to get the speedo to show 60 kph. I had one issue where the +12V feed from the speedo does not provide the required ampage so I took a +12V feed from an unfiltered +12V wire elsewhere in the harness. Type GPS Aprilia Harness Supply +ve Red Green/Violet (this is the speedo voltage, too few amps so get another wire) Ground Black Blue/Orange + Signal Green Grey/White - Signal Blue None Andover Norton use them to feed their digital speedos fitted to Classic Commando's Coupled to the box is a GPS antenna, put this somewhere it can see the sky but it will get a signal through plastic. Also means you can change tyre size and not have to make corrections. |
