Hi, I have just had a 2000 year RSV shock fitted to my 2000 falco, when it brought the shock I was told that the dog bone and triangles it came with were suitable for the falco, now they have been fitted the bike leans over so much the bike is on the limit of falling over, ( the mechanic said he had adjusted the shock to the same length) do I have the wrong dog bone? The one in there now is about an inch longer than the one it replaced.
Any help would be appreciated Mike

'Suitable' of course, does not mean either correct or ideal, just that they will fit and work(?) If the shock is set to the same length as the old one, is there any reason why you swapped out the dog bone? I would just re-fit the old one and see how that feels. |

Compare the RSV plates with the Falco plates also. If they are different that could make a dramatic difference to the height of the bike and the closeness of the shock eyelets to the dog bone etc.
For example the V4 Tuono and RSV4 use the same dog bone but the plates are different. The funky red RSV4 RF ones fit a Tuono but the shock bottom eyelet then is so close to the dog bone it’s dangerous. The bike also squats oddly. A lot of people would change the whole swingarm on the falco to that of the RSV. There is some spacing required however and it’s not just a straight swap. Mark aka Redrat should be along at some point and knows much more about falcos than I.

98-00 rsv have the same dog bones and triangles as all falcos
sounds like you have the later 01-03 rsv dogbone i’d be comparing what you have fitted and what he been taken off read this |

Thanks for you help, I have a yellow spring adjustable shock so now need, to lower as much as possible,see if that helps then find dog bone and triangles, anyone got a set?
