Hi Guys,
My new (old) RSV1000R has a paint bleamish on the front left hand mid fairing which to me looks to be a sticker?? The lion is a dark grey colour and the main colour I believe is mirror silver? But in the mid fairing which features most of the lions head the main colour is grey and it looks like they’ve used a sticker for the silver bits? The bleamish anoys the piss out of me and is right above the lions nose. Long story short how do I fix it! Thanks |

Generally they are stickers on the sides and not clear coated over like the tank. Try image works for decals although you might have to buy the whole lions head not just that bit on the side panel.

Now I’m not so sure my bike is mirror silver as that colour is only stated on bikes up to 05’ and mine is an ‘07 can anyone please confirm it is mirror silver? Thanks |

Ps. Don’t panic the dodgy looking Factory decals came with the bike and are all gone now thanks to a little help from the wife’s hair dryer!

according to the parts diagram the colour schemes for 2007 are -
Aprilia Black 2007 Platinum Grey 2007 Bol D'or 2007 Dark Lion 2007 Red Lion 2007 I would guess of those Platinum grey would be likely but don't take that as gospel as bikes manufactured after Sept can be the next years colours even though it might be registered in late 07.

I’ve sent some pics to ultimateparts and image works so I’ll see what they have to say. Cheers |

I think it's more likely a 2008 spec bike but according to the parts list Platinum grey crossed over from 07-08. Mirror silver seems to have not been used beyond 05.
Have a look at this page. Shows the 3 rsv colours - Ice white, Blue Planet, Plat grey and 1 factory colour, Dark grey. |
