For all that don't know I invested in a Dogcam 520 Pro a few months ago and set about filming some of my ride out antics.

Here's a few of them to keep you entertained over the winter months:

First one is with my mate Kev who has only been riding for a few months and had three offs already and blown his RS125 engine in the process.

These videos are solo journeys cause all my mates had to work.

Christ you take longer to get ready than my wife.

Camera looks good quality.
My Action cam is much more jerky and only gets about 10-15 mins in highest quality

That road is more or less between Pamplona and Jaca just as you start to get into the pyrenees.

Goes on like that for about 20 miles.

Road is the Na-214

Did you cruise on down through France or catch the ferry to Santander?

I just looked at the route down through France and could feel my arse going numb and see my tyre canvas starting to show.  LOL

i've done it six times now and always travelled by ferry to Santander and ridden across to Jaca the first night (about 5 hours).

However the santander ferry now alternates from Portsmouth and Plymouth and the 26 hours from Portsmouth is almost unbearably boring.

So for 2010 if i can afford to go we are going Sea Cat from Weymouth to St Malo and riding down (about 450 miles to Jaca) with a first night stop in Britanny somewhere.
Then back from Snatander to Plymouth which is 18 hours and mostly overnight so ok.

We nearly always head for Jaca cos we know a few people there now and the hotel we stay in even if full sorts us out with rooms somewhere and underground parking.

Similarly we always end up in Lerma for the festival because we have made good friends there and the hotel even let us park out bikes in reception (see pic)

The boyz do Portugal cos it was wet in the mountains (girlz)

Can't recommend Northern Spain enough. It's Brill especially if your a bit adventurous and go off the tourist sort of areas.

Very friendly people.

I really fancy doing a trip down to northern Spain next year, I may even start a thread to see how many we can get on the ferry to Santander.  LOL

Go Britanny ferries to Santander and not P&O to Bilbao

For 1 Bilbao is an industrial sprawl and not the best welcome to Spain but also because the Pont Avon that Brittany ferries use is only 5 years old so is modern. has good facilities, Pool, 3 restaurants, casino, 2 cinemas etc etc and has modern stabilisers for bad weather.

Bike and en suite room based on 4 sharing cost about £230 return ish

We should arrange a trip to Spain or perhaps northern France next summer Mick?

We could call in on Tim en route and get the guided tour of Brittany/Northern France.  Smile

I have resurected the Mis-Calzoncillos site of our Spanish trips.

This is mainly for Sabre as he is a lamb to the slaughter wanting to come this year but feel free anyone to have a butchers.

As you will see takeing the "mick" is very much part of the tri ethos and no one takes it to seriously.

Needless to say Stu i would look before comitting yourself as you might change your mind LOL
