hi can anyone shed any light on what qs is best. I have read to stay away from ignition kill types and also to stay away from fuel cutting supply. Why would griff sell and recoomend dynojet and people say stay away? am looking to buy one this week and not sure what one to get. Cheers

That's the problem with the internet. Everyone will have an opinion and half of them will be based on nothing more than hearsay. |

I've a Healtech, and the setup is the key.
Plus you have to learn to shift without backing off the throttle. And this is harder than you think. In fact the more you think about it the worse it is. But, when you've got it mastered. Shifts become seamless. So, whatever works for you. is the answer. The healtech is programmed via your smartphone, which is seriously cool. Dennis.

Why do people want these? If they were racing a high revving engine with a close ratio box and narrow power band I could understand it but an Ape twin, really?? ![]() Sorry,I may be slow as f*kc on the track but even I can change up and down without much lack of momentum and I can honestly say I've never gone through a complex of corners and thought ' Wow,I really need to get a quickshifter' The advertising guru's and traders must be laughing in their champagne ![]() |

That's like asking why modify anything away from standard, because we want to and because we can, what works for you won't work for others and because it's just fun dude.

I have this thought every time I hear people talk about them. As an engineer I appreciate what they do and if I was racing and wanted the find the last few hundredths then of course I would have one. However for me part of the fun - as with a car - is changing gear myself. Otherwise you may as well get a twist and go and then you're almost at a single ratio electric motor! |

greenman. Why did you choose healtech? They are more expensive and do u really think they are better than dynojet a very succesfull company that has been going for many years? Or did you get it as it ignigion kill? Cheers

Not sure there is a right or wrong answer to which QS type. If they achieve a working solution then it matters not. It comes down to ease of setup, cost etc between types.I wouldn't get too hung up on it, it's like which tyres should I get. They will all work, there are just variations on how they work.

True enough I suppose Still I think there is possibly just a touch of swinging dick syndrome creeping into the mods people do,lets face it ,most people mod their bikes and end up with clones of every other modded bike. Like the first things most people post about is what airbox should I get? what cans? Anybody got a spare Tigcraft or Evo system as I've heard it's the best etc,etc Each to their own,I know Exit grumpy old fart now going for a lay down

i think im set on a hm plus. By far the best write up and says basicly about pre detonation with fuel cut as it could still fire with a spark. Basicy said everything i needed to know 👍

im in nz, and they were easy to buy online. And programming via smartphone is a plus . And for the dynajet one o u need a power commander also. So not cost-effective .

The hm will work with rearsets as you replace the shifter rod with a shorter one that should come with the kit and the strain gauge fits inline on the rod.
