hi i have a rsv1000 on a 04 plate,bikes bin brillant since ive had it, but 2day i went 2 start the bike(after it been outside all nght, 1st time it been out in rain since ive had it.  i started the bike and oil shot out of the fairng and a massive puddle followed on the floor, bike was still running but cut it out straight away,  does any1 no what could have happened, any help is very welcome. as id like this forums thoughts on this before a garage trys 2 rip me off, thanks

Similar happened to me last year,  In my case it was the hose on the near side oil cooler. The clip is one of those "micky mouse " things not a proper jubilee hose clip. It had been assembled on top of  the pipe swage not behind it, and had taken 2500 miles to pop Confused

bloody good job I was in the  garage at home , not blatting down some motorway which could have resulted in a major "off".

so if you have dumped so much oil start looking at the flow and return hoses for the coolers , and then check the oil tank behind the nearside fairing the connection between that and the motor.
