Looks great! What's the gold-coloured button to the left of the horn?

thats the TCS control paddle the opposite side has a minus so you can adjust your traction on the fly corner to corner.

please do if you get the chance, or if we meet one day please have a pop on this one.
i did test ride a 09 f4 1000  and a 2018 s1000r - i am biased towards ape but i have owned a few different brands and still do but this just fit me right, im 5 11 with a bit of a covid gut but it fit me like a glove, plus from 4 hours of riding the other day no aches or pains and most importantly no well done legs or nuts.

some more pics, i have been out on it each day since purchase, I'm still getting used to not using the clutch all the time, also the bite has made me stall once and it had to happen in front of 30 blokes..

Check your clutch cable adjustment for one.

Also what setting is it on? Road , race or track?

Road I found was hesitant and soft with pick up off the clutch compared to an instant go on the race setting.

i don't have road, i have race, track and sport, i think sport must be the softest setting.

Try race if you don’t already. See if you notice a crisper more responsive throttle.
Admittedly mines a Tuono but I can notice less precision is required to pull away.

wigg i have no idea what race does on a tuono but on this it was like full insane, back to sport for the time being hahah

i was out for 4 hours and i really got a proper ride in just solo seeing what this bad boy is all about, thankful to not be out on a ducati loosing sperm count TongueTongue
but seriously it doesent even get hot. first gear is absolute bonkers and shifting up while holding the throttle wide open with no clutch will never get old.

anyway taking in the sights.

and to report on the pista GP RR - it really is something else, wore it the entire time and it just feels weightless im using lazer lite plugs and i cant hear a thing, not even this tasty V4 - it was hard to change from the RX7V after 15 years i got my first rx7 in 2005 and worn one since with other arais - this helmet is just a cut above would highly recommend it to anyone in the market for a new lid.

cheeky selfie

Haha

Yeah it has a similar effect on the Tuono but 40 horsepower less so I can imagine yours is a step beyond 😂

Looks mega weather where you are. Fantastic pics

Another update on the RF, my Healtech device gets here on friday so i have decided to chuck the yoshi on got a few pics of it, it took ages to arrive and i think it will be quite rare to see a yoshi on an Aprilia.

Posted By: JimmyV4
Date Posted: 07 Sep 2021 at 21:29
exhaust install went smooth as glass, getting the flapper cables through and out was the hardest part, healtech works just fine, no warning or check engine lights.

it goes without saying but, Jesus Christ this sounds good.

Tail tidy finally done, had it sat in the box since April ffs. thanks for letting me pick your brain wigg, honestly once i cut the rear plate light off it become a lot clearer and using the crimps with bullet connectors wasn't as a daunting task as i had initially thought

i think the bike looks 10x better without the stock can and 10 ton of plastic hanging out the back.

Yeah it is, I went through so many horror stories over changing the exhaust one call to my local Aprilia and the mechanic I talked to burst out laughing when I repeated some of the stuff I have read online about exhausts on the 17+ bikes. I'm really happy with how it looks and I don't think I will do much else to it.

Simply Gorgeous!  Thumbs Up

What is the riding position like compared to Gen1 / Gen2? I've sat on them in the showroom but everything feels ok for two minutes.

Absolutely stunning bikes, I seriously wanted one when they were launched until I sat on one, they feel about the same size as a 125 sadly or its because I’ve always been used to big barges, the sound with a nice pipe on is fantastic.

It feels like a really really small 600, the gen 1 and 2 are twice the size or so it seems. The rsv4 feels a lot like the Audi ducatis starting with the 1199. You get on and everything is close, I find it more comfortable than a gen 2 on long rides as it's not a long reach.

I have a rs125 and your not far wrong. But it is easily as small as a 2006 era R6 I'm 5,11 and it's a good fit. Really comfy on long rides but not to much scooting ass back room so I would say 6ft is the hard limit.

i am very excited for you, on the ride back to locking it up i must of been into the triple digits and as i was coming off the A12 on the ramp i was banging it down the box with it closed, no clutch and the noise on the downshifts was enough to make me actually burst out laughing like a psyco.

before i bought the amg i used to ride everyday and i really miss it its just to easy to climb in a big comfy car. we will sort it out sometime, spoke to the geezer you put me in touch with and hes not 100 percent about it so going to send the silencer to him,

I'm the same mate but my commute is so short now it's not worth starting the bije so I use my van. Hopefully he'll sort you out he's done plenty of cans for people on here . My track bike runs a scorpion race can and he sorted a baffle out no problem. MHP for those interested Thumbs Up

So after Adams suggestion to see MHP for a custom baffle i finally went and picked up the yoshi,

so it has 2, one removable on the front and one in the link pipe which is also adjustable, he said that its so adjustable it can make it run really really quiet but completely kill the performance, going to fit it today and give it a noise test.

really good service from MHP

just did a 250mile round trip to pick up some parts for a 93 SL500 i just got, only small so i took the V4. surprising how bloody comfortable this was, cruise control is a godsend especially on motorways, i know i have said it before but even in really hot weather the bike hardly gets hot, in comparison to the twin duc especially, which would of roasted my legs and nuts to death.

Love it

I’ve not managed to head out as we have a new puppy taking up all my free time.

My Tuono runs hotter by comparison with 2500 miles on it still.

i wonder if the exhaust valves make them hotter 91 was the max it ever got to, tried a Launch control as well about my 5th time and im getting good at it seems so foreign to do what you need to hahah.

Posted By: badapple
Date Posted: 17 Jun 2022 at 19:52
Launch control sounds hilarious must try it. I'm currently riding around on a 21plt 765 street triple which I'm selling for my father in law and I can't believe how bikes have changed. I'm so used to pre 2010 machines and they have developed so much. I can only imagine how good those new apes are!

Mine hasn’t the valve currently as it’s the straight though race Akrapovic but it may do if I fit the legal titanium version I also have.
Yet to try launch control….firstly not really read up on it and secondly I’d forget how to programme it when out 😅
