Sounds pretty good to me just need to find 20k down the back of tge sofa!

Whatever happened to modern bike prices they are crazy. Think I'll stick to my old factory

There not superbikes any more though really, more hyperbikes. When you look at the tech and safety aids with all the Ohlins etc, think back to the earlier blades etc and you had nothing on them.

Completely over the top LOL

For a road bike? Laughable on our broken up roads and a liability in our garages given the rise of thieving scrotes.   But then that applies to any big sports bike costs around £20,000

Had I been younger and more ego driven I might have had a little dribble but age has some benefits Wink

Given the Aprilia dealer network if I did have the urge to spend that sort of money I'd go round the corner and buy a Duc from one of the best regarded dealers in the UK,even if my heart wanted an Ape I wouldn't be prepared to risk the Aprilia dealers as once bitten twice shy

There's actually a better looking ltd edition of this bike though in nicer colours,I think it's a run of 20off and costs around £25,000

In for a penny....

EDIT:

 Sorry it's 10 off and 39,000 euros

Exactly! The spec is ridiculous and if I had money to burn then one of these or any of the latest and greatest would be my trackday tool of choice but I am still the right side of 40 just about and once in the saddle I still think im 20 but with a little more experience. Having said all that when it comes to the road the big twin is so rewarding to ride, more than quick enough, better looking and round my way very unique . Even if I bought a newer bike with electics some day the ape owes me nothing so will be staying put for a good few years yet, only time I'd sell it is for another Italian twin.

I love my old tin box best 900quid  I've ever spent and still going strong after 7 years. Same applies in the car world just sooooo much money for a box on wheels that you sit in traffic jams in and never use it properly unless you dont give a sh*t or live in Germany.  A work colleague just bought a 68plt Audi S5 for 39k and she thinks she got a bargain .

Pretty much only in the UK, just about everywhere else has seen the light and rejected overpriced sports bikes in favour of adventure bikes or cruisers.
I personally don't like them but a halfway decent rider on a mutley will give a sports bike riders a hard time except on perhaps a really fast trackday.

Certainly would on the average road round here.

And more relevant probably, they could keep doing it for over 500 miles and still get off fresh and relaxed unlike being curled up on an oversized minimoto.

4 years in on my 6k CLK55 5.5V8,
fastest 0 to 60 i have done was a 4.88 and i track it often, i couldn't imagine buying a car for anymore unless it had more than 510NM

Quick youtube clip of the silly thing.
